Zero Emission Combustion Tech
Current H2 engine technologies can’t reach zero-emission standards - due to limitations with the 4-stroke engine process (buildup of combustion flu gas temperatures post combustion). Thermal NOx is formed by the reaction of atmospheric nitrogen (N2) and oxygen (O2) molecules in combustion flue gas at elevated temperatures.
In axis new (2-cycle engine), thermal NOx buildup is eliminated as the scavenging process introduces negative and positive supercooling air that is fed from the supercharger through the engines lower and upper intakes in the combustion chambers - this both "supercools" and mixes hot combustion gas post combustion with (pre-cooled) intake air - eliminating any rise in exhaust gas temperature, preventing thermal NOx formation, Axis engine effectively rids exhaust gases at the BDC stage, as opposed to BDC all the way to TDC in a 4-stroke engine.

High Air-Fuel Ratio:

Axis new H2 engine tech boasts a lean fuel to air ratio (180:1) made possible with Axis HPH2DI technology and Axis dual induction 2-cycle engine, Axis new H2 engine utilizes a novel twin screw supercharging system, that increases the compression ratio of our new H2 ICE.
More Power, Less Fuel:

Axis novel H2 2-cycle engine adopts a novel "dual induction" combustion process (global patent pending), that enables a high-boost pressure & rapid exhaust gas scavenging, with 50% more mechanical efficiency than previous 4-Stroke H2 engine technology and 30-40% more boost pressure than other supercharged 2-stroke engines. Axis engine features a novel fuel rail that boosts hydrogen reserve fuel delivery pressure to utilize hydrogen fuel down to as low as 10bar fuel pressure (global patent pending).
High-Pressure Direct Injection:

Axis new engine consumes 50% less fuel than older H2 ICE technologies, that utilize low-pressure "intake stroke" tech – the only pre-existing, commercially available solution - globally. Axis has pioneered H2 ICE combustion engine efficiency with the design and development of the world’s first high-pressure direct 2-cycle H2 injection system; for ultimate H2 efficiency & lean fuel burn; enabling the global scaling of our technology for a world of propulsion applications.

Axis new hydrogen combustion engines offer a low carbon solution to difficult-to-electrify aspects of the economy that are currently powered by fossil fuels (for example industrial heat and transportation). BEV’s are not efficient for heavy vehicles or aircraft - Axis novel hydrogen ICE combustion technology enables our hydrogen combustion engines to suit a multitude of global power applications - in a pioneering new platform for unrivalled H2 performance, and efficiency...

It’s been 149 years since the first internal combustion engine was invented and today we’re still using largely the same technology, but emission regulations will soon (and are currently) preventing the use of fossil fuels. Axis Motors has redesigned the internal combustion engine to meet the modern demands of reliability, efficiency and zero emissions.
